In 1938 the first ‘Halliburton’ aluminum travel case was handmade for Erle P. Halliburton’s personal use. At that time he was a globetrotting oil field engineer, often disappointed with luggage that failed to protect his wardrobe and business essentials when exposed to the harsh conditions of extreme dirt, heat and dust. With his staff ‘s engineering knowledge, and his experience, Halliburton came up with the idea of the world’s first aluminum case.
